Reflection on The Animal Farm Movie (Second)

So, I just finished the Animal Farm movie (the 1954 version one). There are a lot of similar stuff in the movie (of course... since it’s an adaptation... but yeah), but there were also some parts that were quite very different. The first difference is the death of the Old Major. In the book, the Old Major died after few days after singing The Beasts of England, but in the movie, the Old Major died while the animals are singing The Beasts of England. However, the cause of the Old Major's death is the same, because of the old-age-pig. Also, I think the biggest different from the beginning of the movie is that the animals do not talk to each other, instead, there is a narrator talking while the movie is going on. Unlike the animals in the book, they just simply talk to each other. If you watch the movie really carefully, you will notice that when Napoleon drinks the milk, another pig (probably Squealer) drink the milk with him, and Napoleon isn't drinking secretly. In the book, Napoleon drinks the milk while all the other animals are gone. Despite in the book that Mollie the mare plays a huge role on betraying the Animal Farm by fleeing from there, however, Mollie the mare is practically non-existent and not detailed descriptive. To me, I think that movie is quite good for that period of time. I was shocked, however, because of the appearances for the animals in the movie. In the book, there are detailed description for all the animals, including Mr. Jones. In the ending of the movie, I was shocked. I thought the Animal Farm movie version, Mr. Pilkington is going to the Animal Farm and having a dinner with Napoleon, talking to him that he wants to arrange his farm with Animal Farm style. Instead, the pigs came out to celebrate and learn how to manage the Animal Farm like Napoleon.
